Escarpment started downtown in 2008. As people from across the city joined, we planted two more locations so that church could be in their own neighbourhood: the Mountain in 2015 and Dundas in 2021.
We are one church with one team of pastors and one set of beliefs. Each location has its own feel, but the same message is taught everywhere on a Sunday.
Three locations, one reason:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, KJV)
We believe in one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in the Bible as God's word; and that Jesus Christ died and rose again for the life of the world.
One church, one budget: gifts support all three locations and our neighbours across Hamilton.
Church within a short drive or bus ride for most of Hamilton.
Leaders, curriculum, and check-in for over 200 kids each Sunday.
Pastors at every location pray for requests each week.
Every location has a pastor who would love to meet you. Send a note and tell us which location.
The one closest to you is usually best, because that's where your neighbours are. You're welcome at any of them.
Yes. Each location hears the same message, taught live by a pastor there.
The Mountain, at both Sunday services. Downtown and Dundas have kids' programs too.
